Reverend Sinclair Grey, III, is a pioneer in the making—liberating persons of all intellectual, social, and cultural walks of life. He is labeled by many as a radical and cutting edge preacher who is not afraid to challenge social structures.
In order to pursue his steadfast goal of excellence in service to God and his calling as a leader, Reverend Grey founded The Liberation Temple in May 2004. Through the Word of God, Pastor Grey strives to transform the lives of men and women spiritually, to prepare them financially, to expand them intellectually, to activate them physically, and to expose them socially.
A native of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Reverend Grey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, in 1991. After receiving his call to preach in 1997, Reverend Grey earned a Master's of Divinity degree and graduated Cum Laude from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at VirginiaUnionUniversity, Richmond, Virginia, in 2002.
He is a certified NTU Psychotherapist and has received certificates of completion from The Addiction Prevention and Recovery Administration in psychopharmacology and adolescent and addiction issues.
A committed advocate for communal change, Reverend Grey has served as a facilitator for a Rites of Passage program geared toward young males. He also conducted voter registration drives in Virginia and Washington, DC. He organized a conference on Domestic Violence Against Women and appeared as a guest speaker in various forums including, the National Black Religious Summit on Sexuality and the DC Department of Family Preservation Teen Assessment Program .
Reverend Grey is a strong proponent of gathering the masses through grassroots efforts and participated in a protest march against police brutality in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spearheaded an Anti- Prostitution protest in Washington, DC. Acknowledging his ability to relate to young people, Reverend Grey served as a Project Director with ProgressiveLifeCenter in Washington, DC, where he oversaw a mentoring program geared toward children whose parents were incarcerated. He has made appearances on radio talk shows including Interfaith Radio. Reverend Grey is also the author of Seeds of Freedom: Inspirational Messages for Ordinary People with Extraordinary Potential.
Reverend Grey is the chaplain for the St. Thomas Moore Medical Complex in Hyattsville, Maryland. and Co-Chairman of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (Washington, DC Chapter). He is currently the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Helping and Healing, Inc. a non-profit 501(c)3 faith-based organization catering to youth and adults in the areas of Mentoring, Tutoring, Rites of Passage, and Literacy. Recently, Rev. Grey was inducted into Cambridge's Who's Who for his work in advocating empowerment and justice within the church and country as a whole. In addition to this, Rev.
